VAT Calculator
Calculate VAT (Value Added Tax) - add or remove VAT from a given amount.
How VAT Works
Adding VAT: Multiply the net amount by (1 + VAT rate). For example, with a 20% VAT rate, the gross amount equals the net amount multiplied by 1.20. Removing VAT: Divide the gross amount by (1 + VAT rate). The VAT amount is the difference between the gross and net amounts. Note: the effective VAT rate when removing VAT is VAT Rate / (1 + VAT Rate), which is slightly lower than the nominal rate.
